Some important kings of Mewar (Udaipur) region

Bhim Singh: 1818 Mewar- British treaty was signed during his rule. According to the terms of this treaty Mewar had to pay 1/4th of the produce to the British for 5 years and after 5 years 3/8th of the produce was to be paid.

 

Sambhu Singh: Regency Council formed during his tenure. He was awarded the title of ‘Grand Commander of the Star of India’ by Lord Ripon during Chittor Darbar ( 23 nov. 1881)

 

Sajjan Singh: He refused to be a guest at the Delhi Darbar organised by Lord Lytton but he was later compelled to go to Delhi.

 

Fateh Singh: He was awarded the title of ‘Order of the Crown of India’ by the British. He went to Delhi to attend the Delhi Darbar organised by Lord Hardinge in 1911 to commemorate the coronation of King George 5 but after meeting a revolutionary Kesari Singh Barhat ( a disciple of Dayanand Saraswati), he changed his mind and decided not to bow before the British.
