Folk dances of Rajasthan

Ghoomar: It is the state dance of Rajasthan. It was developed by Bhil tribe and then adopted by other Rajasthan communities. Swirling robes of women is the characteristic feature.

Gair: It is mainly performed by Bhil community. It is more famous in Mewar and Marwar area.

Chari: It belongs to Gujjar community of Kishangarh and only women perform this dance.

Kachhi Ghodi: It is performed by men on dummy horses.

Fire dance: It is a very difficult dance and performed by Banjara community.

Terah Taali: It is performed by Kamada tribes who are traditional snake charmers.

Kathputli: It is the old tradition of stories from mythology and legends are told through puppets.

Pabuji ki Phad: This performing art is associated with the life and gallantary  activities of Pabuji.
